ABOUT ME
Growing up in a small town as a queer kid with uncommon intuition, I know what it’s like to have therapy done to me. Therapy that aimed to name my experience as the problem and change my behavior to reduce the friction my authenticity caused to the norms around me.
Those early interactions and an innate desire to support others inspired me to pursue a Masters in Social Work (MSW) degree and become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) so that I could practice as a therapist.
I work with…
Kids
For more than a decade, I was a school based mental health therapist and program supervisor at St. David’s Center for Childhood and Family Development, working directly with kids facing challenging life circumstances and the teachers and administrators who serve them. Rejecting the notion that students are acting out or seeking attention, I create space for young people to meet their needs for connection — to be heard and validated in ways that cultivate trust and provide openings for new responses and sustained SEL skills.
That work has underscored the integral role of parents and caregivers in the health and thriving of our young people. It’s made clear that lineages of trauma will continue to play out, generation after generation, unless adults have safe spaces to be seen and believed in that same way — to have a compassionate partner and guide in exploring different perspectives, not a clinical interrogator digging for a some objective truth.
Adults
In honoring that wholeness, I know that we are more than our thinking minds. Our bodies and energy systems can lock in trauma, store unspoken pain or grief, and perpetuate patterns that we can’t seem to address with verbal acknowledgment or even deep discussion. Since I was a child, I have been privileged with the ability to tap into energy channels in your body that can guide me to physical or spiritual healing that requires no words.

Systems
I believe our mental health and healing are not solely an individual endeavor. We are all part of the wider collective, influencing each other, not only in our family units, but as we move through our communities every day. I am committed to serving that wider collective by building the skills and resources of systems, as well as individuals. I do this through consultation around school-based mental health programs and providing clinical supervision for new therapists as they begin their professional journeys.
At the core of all my services is a commitment to openness, honesty, transparency, and compassion. There is nothing too big, too hard or too scary that I can't help hold in a session — and I will never ask you to go more deeply than I have gone with myself. While I have 15 years of expertise in trauma-informed and neurodiverse-affirming care, YOU are the expert of YOU and I will never waste your time trying to convince you to do or be something that doesn’t resonate for you.
